Rescues

These pigs are located at various places in California and currently need homes. We are doing our best, with the help of C.P.P.A. and a vast rescue network, to find wonderful permanent homes for all the pigs we receive calls or emails about. If you are interested in adopting one, please fill out the C.P.P.A. Questionaire or contact cathy by email or phone: 408-223-6775. These are really sweet pigs who deserve a home and happy life.

Fergus & Portia - Adopted!

Fergus has been placed at the Farm Sanctuary in California. There he has all the space he needs to run and lots of people to give him attention. Portia was adopted by a family in San Martin, CA not far from Belly Draggers Ranch. Apparently she had gotten pregnant before being placed there because she surprised the family with four babies a couple of weeks ago. They might be available for adoption when they are eight weeks old.

Miss Piggy

small black and white pig

At the shelter in San Louis Obispo, the staff call this little one “Miss Piggy.” She looks to be about two years old and is in really great shape. She’s a little depressed about her situation, but is friendly with people and dogs walking by. She likes to have her back and snout rubbed. I don’t know if she is spayed or not, but she’s a cutie!

Timmy - Adopted!

Timmy was fostered at a really great place in Oakland and was very happy with the daily routine and the company of the family dog. The family is getting ready to move to Florida and as luck would have it, a couple on Bethal Island were looking for a pig, so they are going to adopt Timmy. The couple work from home, so He will get lots of attention. They also have other adopted animals, so Timmy will have lots of company. Hopefully, we will have some pictures of him in his new home soon.
