Dark Gray pig with white highlight on nose

Jenny

Status: Female
Born: 1997
Died: October 23, 2004
In: August, 2000
From: Owner Relinquish

An exceptionally sweet little pig, Jenny had a neurological problem that made it difficult for her to tell her legs what she wanted them to do. Her owner and sponsor volunteered every week at the ranch, doing whatever was needed.

Update October 30, 2004:

When she could no longer get out of her igloo and it became clear that she was terrified of losing her footing, we had Dr. Meyers come out and put her to sleep. We miss her so very much.

Jessie

Status: Female
Born: Unknown approx. 1992
In: December 20, 1999
From:

Jessie is our senior lady at Belly Draggers. We have no idea how old she is or what her circumstances were before she ended up at the Humane Society. She spends most of her days in bed, but still has some good days when the weather is warm. On sunny days she likes to lay out in the pasture under the trailer.

black boar

Joe Big

Status: Male
Born: Unknown
In: June 25, 2005
From: San Martin Shelter
Sponsored By: Tristen Moors & Maury Domengeaux

This boar was running with little Snickers and we are pretty sure he got her pregnant. He was neutered on May 25th and will come to Belly Draggers after he is no longer able to impregnate the females, which will be approximately 3 weeks after his surgery. He was full of hundreds of ticks and fleas and they have been removed. He is a very sweet boy and we expect he will fit in very well here.

Update January 8, 2006:

Joe Big arrived on June 25th and is doing just great here! He is a really sweet pig and gets along with everyone. He mostly hangs out under the fig tree with Abby, Jazzmine, and Bessie. That way he can be close to the gate in case someone with a treat happens by!

pinto pig

Kirby

Status: Male
Born: 1997
In: January 2001
From: Middle Ave.
Sponsored By: Holly Schmidt

A sweet quizzical pig, Kirby always seems to have his head tilted up and his tongue hanging out to one side. Badly neglected in the first home he was placed, he never seems to get enough food and checks out everyone's bowl, cleaning up every particle. He is a really sweet pig, even though he had such a rough start in life, but is shy about being petted.
